Responsibilities

  • Develop digital circuit design on an advanced process node in one of the following areas: Cache-coherence, On-chip networks and Chip-to-chip link protocols

  • Work in a Microarchitecture team to drive design of logic components

  • Drive design and architecture choices for power, performance and scalability requirements

  • Perform RTL coding and simulation. Partake in and work with verification engineers to bring Logic components to mature, parametrized and stable IP components

  • Verify synthesizability of RTL implementation and work with physical design team for timing closure

Requirements

  • Diplom-Ing, Bachelor, Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics or related field

  • Excellent analytical skills, technical leadership and self-motivation and ambition

  • Experience with digital RTL design and fluency in VHDL, Verilog or SystemVerilog (interest in Risc-V EDA ecosystem, e.g. Chisel, ChipYard, etc. is an asset)

  • Experience with verification and verification methodologies (e.g. UVM)

  • Experience with formal verification (assertion-based testing) is a great asset

  • Experience with adjacent areas of the SoC development process (e.g. synthesis, static timing analysis, formal equivalence checking, etc.)

  • Background with computer Microarchitecture and Microprocessor SoC in one or more of the following areas:

    • Cache-coherence

    • On-chip networks

    • Chip-to-chip link protocol
